The Old Life Is Over
The Israelites had left Egypt, but when Pharaoh’s army came after them, fear made them think like they were still slaves.
In Exodus 14:19–31, God shows His people what kind of God He is. He stands between them and their old master, makes a way they could never make for themselves, and fights the battle they could never win.
Through Christ, God has done the same for us. We were helpless to save ourselves, but Jesus made the way for us to be reconciled to God and given a new life.
The old life is over. So why do we still live afraid? What would it look like to live according to who Christ has already made us?
