When Judgment Comes
Exodus 12:1–14
What happens when judgment comes?
In Exodus 12, God prepares Israel for the final plague in Egypt. Unlike the earlier plagues, this time God gives His people specific instructions. A lamb is sacrificed, its blood is placed on the doorposts, and everyone inside the house is spared.
Passover shows us both the seriousness of God’s judgment and the depth of His mercy. Judgment is real, but God provides a way of rescue.
That story ultimately points us to Jesus Christ, our Passover Lamb. Our safety is not found in being good enough, religious enough, or confident in ourselves. Our safety is in the Lamb God provided.
