Navigate Story

My name is Steve Giunta and I’m the Pastor of Navigate Church.

Navigate started as a small group of people who believed God was speaking to them to begin a church in the Langhorne, PA region. In the Spring of 2018 we began meeting together anywhere we could - from diners to restaurants and the occasional meeting hall. It was exciting but challenging.

One week my wife, Joanna, and I wondered if we could fit 25 people in our living room. So we invited everyone over and packed them in; in between couches and furniture and spilling into the dining room. It quickly became our favorite time together. These were special moments of unity and inspiration as we dreamed of what God was about to do.

So, in the fall of 2018 we were able to get a couple theaters at the United Artists at Oxford Valley. We got a large trailer, packed our stuff, and every early Sunday morning we loaded everything into the theater, worshipped together, and loaded back out by noon. We tripled in size and began making new friends in the community.

And then the pandemic hit.

Like so many churches and other organizations we jumped into the online streaming world. Since we were portable and modular to begin with, God blessed us with the ability to pivot quickly and to begin broadcasting live on YouTube within a couple of weeks. For the most part, our community stayed together and we even added people. Though we were separated physically, we at least had online engagement through this once in a lifetime global event.

At the same time we began shopping for a gathering space and inquired at Oxford Valley Mall to see if there might be a place where we could gather more permanently. We were able to secure the location we have now and began the new renovation project. We relaunched in-person gathering on Christmas Eve of 2020 and have been going strong ever since.

God is blessing our work with people who realize that Jesus is the only one who can rescue us and transform our hearts and give us new life.
